- The experiment user to DC high voltage testers must be the professional man who has High-voltage test licences for employment.
- The user must use the equipment according to the 168th provision of《provision of electric power for safe》,and install two Clear disconnection points before power on.
- Although they wear insulated shoes and at a safe distance, the DC high voltage over 200KV can makes people’s body has different DC beause of the influence of High Voltage Direct Current hydronium’s distributing.So they must not shake hands or touch things than connect erath otherwise they will feel a slight electric shock which has no hurt to people.Limiting current resistance must be used when do cable tests.
- Do not connect them directly with discharge stick when discharge tested res with big capacitance.You should near the tested tes slowly with discharge stick and you can hear fizzle of discharge.And you can touch the tested res with discharge stick when the fizzle disappear,and touch the earthing wear at last.
The first:brief introduction
HF series, ZGF series of DC high voltage testers are researched and manufactured in light of China industry standard ZBF 24003-90 《Universal technology Conditions about portable DC high voltage testers》.They are applicable to the electric power branch, power department of factories , scientific research units, railway, chemical industry, power plants,which use them to do test on zinc oxide arrester ,magnetic blowing arrester, power cables, generators, transformers, switches and other equipments.
HF series, ZGF series of DC high voltage testers are used IF voltage circuit and the latest PWM technology to do closed-loop adjustment and used voltage feedback to improve voltage stability.The use of high power IGBT devices with excellent Performance and their drive technology,and the measures about special shielding, grounding and isolation in accordance with electromagnetic compatibility theory,all of this makes the DC high voltage testers high-quality, portable and can withstand the rated voltage discharge and prevent being damaged.

The second: product’s characteristic

7. The added high-precision 75% VDC-1mA functions makes it esay to do Zinc oxide Arrester tests.You just need to push it gently and the value will be displayed. There is a 75% VDC-1mA function button on the control box to do Zinc oxide arrester test. Push the 0.75 UDC - 1mA button when the current rises to 1000 uA. The value Data voltage meter and current meter shows is data of 75% .Then return the voltage ipot to zero immediately, and push the green button to cut off high-voltage power switch.
8. The over voltage set fuction uses number dial switch which can display the figures of voltage clear and makes it esay to operate it.The unit it displays on the dial is KV.
9. American technology and special design is used to voltage multiplier.This makes it easy to do tests.
10-1.Three hided supporting feet makes the voltage multiplier more stable(Apply to 200KV).
10-2. The up cover of control box can be used as hurricane lamp base and cover the voltage multiplier to make it more stable.

The way to connect lines:
3 connects 220V alternating current power
4 connects 12(use cable with 4 or 5 cores
6 and 13 connect to earth(use appropriative earthing wire )
The way to connect current meter
●The display lights, switches, knobs etc on the control box are marked clearly so the user can operate it according to the name on panel of control box.
●There is a four or five core cable jack for connecting cable of control box on the side of the voltage multiplier’s base.There is a copperconnection pole used to connect earth.
●The jack on the top of the high voltage shielding current meter is used to connect tested res and can be used as power switch.Please revolve the back cover tight when replace battery.
1.Preparation before use
⑴ Check the integrity of DC high voltage testers and make sure the cables do not has turnoff and short circuit.
⑵ Lay the control box and voltage multiplier to the safe place and connect power line,cable,and earthing wires.The earthing wires are not allowed to use one another.
⑶ Check that the power switch is put off , the ipot returns to zero,and the over voltage protection is set properly(usually it’s1.10~1.20 times to tested voltage).
2. Do not connect tested res to validate the set value to over voltage protection.
⑴ Make sure the power is single-phase alternating current of 200V,50 Hz.Put on the power and the green light lights.
⑵ Push the red button and the red light lights.It denotes the circuit puts through.
⑶ Adjust ipot regulation smoothly clockwise and fan-out will rise voltage from zero. Voltage meter displays the value of tested res and current meter displays the value of the current on tested res and all the leaked current.Note the value on current meter and check if the control box or output cable has abnormity and noise when the voltage stops rise.
⑷ Drop voltage and returns ipot regulation back to zero,then push the green button to put off the high voltage power switch and put off the power.
3.Do leak and DC high voltage pressure test to tested res.
⑴ Connect the high voltage shielding current meter to high voltage fan-out and connect the special high wires to current meter and tested separately.
⑵ Check the apparatus is right connected then start to do high voltage test.
⑶ Put on single-phase alternating current of 200V,50 Hz and then the green light lights.Now do leak and DC high voltage pressure test to tested res.
⑷ Push red button and red light lights.
⑸ Adjust ipot regulation smoothly clockwise and fan-out will rise voltage from zero.the rate of rising voltage should be 3-5kV.The rate will be more slow to big capacitance equipments.Note the value on voltage meter and current meter when the voltage stop rises.
⑹ Drop voltage and returns ipot regulation back to zero,then push the green button to put off the high voltage power switch and put off the power.
⑺ Discharge the tested res with discharge click several times after test then close to tested res and tear down wires.When do Zinc oxide Arrester tests,you should stop rise voltage when current rises to 1000uA and push the yellow button.The voltage will drop to 75% of it and keep this value.Note the value on voltage meter and current meter. Drop voltage and returns ipot regulation back to zero,then push the green button after test. The rate will be more slow to big capacitance equipments.You can use discharge click when the voltage value drops to 20KV for safety.
4. It’s protection function starts when the red light goes out and the green light lights when use it.The follow should be done:
⑴ Return the ipot back to zero.
⑵ Put off the power.
⑶ Open the power after a minute when the low capacitor discharge completely.
5. Attention: Limiting current resistance must be used when do cable tests.(It is not needed when do other tests)It is limited to test which voltage is over 120KV.
The sixth:Attentions
1. The user should pay attention that the control box and voltage multiplier should be connected to the earth well during the test,and the discharge of the items and voltage multiplier after the test. We remind you repeatedly in order to ensure personal safety.
2. The user should often check whether the fans operate normally if the control box has fans in order to prevent the entry of other things.
3. Please clean voltage multiplier with a dry cloth when it is polluted by oil.Do not use organic solvents such as alcohol, gasoline to scrub it. You can clean the surface with detergents and dry it by winds before use.Please put it in the box when it is in transport or not in use.
4. Please replace by the safety-tube in accordance with the digital on the Current meter in side of the safty.
5. Please replace by battery of 9V if the high voltage shielding current meter displays "LOW BAT" on the table in order to avoid measurement error.
6. Do not open the control box and the voltage multiplier,otherwise it will affect product warranty.We will not be responsible for demolitions if you open them without permission.
7. The product should avoid of rain erosion、 collisions and crashes when it is in transport.
